Tips for Making Key Lime Pie Shots

  • Rimming the shot glasses with graham cracker crumbs adds that classic buttery graham crackers crunch to the shot that we all love in key lime pie. Simply coat the rim of the glass with lime juice, and dip it into a layer of graham cracker crumbs.
  • Whipped cream vodka adds a sweet creamy flavor to the shot. If you don’t have whipped cream vodka on hand, you can use ½ ounce vodka and ½ ounce Bailey’s Irish cream. You can also use vanilla vodka for a sweet flavor.
  • Key west lime juice is what gives the shot its classic tart lime flavor. I’m using fresh key lime juice but bottled would work too.
  • If you don’t have a cocktail shaker, you can use mason jars with a lid.
  • For some extra zest, mix some lime zest into the graham cracker crumbs.

If you can’t find key limes at the grocery stores, you can use regular limes or regular lime juice. Just note that the flavor will be different. You can find everything you need in the recipe card below.
