Easy Homemade Dragon Sauce Recipe

This Dragon Sauce recipe is an Asian-inspired sweet and spicy sauce that is simple to make and goes will with most dishes. This flavorful and spicy sauce recipe takes around 10 minutes to make.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • ½ ” chunk of fresh ginger minced
  • 1 large clove garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 4 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • 2 tbsp white vinegar
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste

Instructions
 

  • Mix together the cornstarch and 2 tbsp of the water in a small bowl. Set aside.

  • Add the oil to a saucepan and heat on a medium setting. Fry the ginger and garlic for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.

  • Add the cornstarch slurry followed by all remaining ingredients. Stir well, bring to a boil then simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.

Notes

  • Feel free to adjust the amount of chili flakes to your spice preference.
  • You can use apple cider vinegar or rice vinegar in place of the white vinegar.
