Turmeric Shots

These Turmeric Shots taste delicious and are full of powerful nutritional benefits like antioxidants and Vitamin C. They are easy to make and can be whipped up in just a few minutes.

Ingredients
  

  • 40-50 grams fresh turmeric unpeeled
  • ½ cup water
  • ¼ cup orange juice
  • pinch black pepper ground
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup optional

Instructions
 

  • Peel the turmeric using a spoon. Place the peeled turmeric, orange juice, water, black pepper and maple syrup in a blender. (high powdered blender like a Vitamix)

  • Blend until smooth. (If is too thick, add a little more of lemon juice or water)

  • Divide into shot glasses or jars.

Notes

  • The turmeric will stain your hands and utensils, I recommend using gloves.
  • If not consuming immediately, store in an airtight jar in the refrigerator.
  • We used a high powered blender like a Vitamix for this. If you don’t have a high powered blender, we suggest that you pour your juice though a cheese cloth or milk strainer bag to remove any pulp.
