This Vegan BBQ Sauce is tangy and sweet with a hint of smokiness. Your family will be so impressed, and will have no idea this sauce is vegan! This sauce can be made in large batches and stored in the freezer when you are in a pinch. We hope you give it a try.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups crushed tomatoes or 100% tomato sauce
  • ½ cup coconut sugar or brown sugar
  • ½ cup maple syrup or agave syrup
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Use gf if needed
  • 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika or regular paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • ½ tablespoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Stir together all ingredients in a small saucepan. Cook over high heat and bring to a boil.

  • Once boiling, simmer over low heat for 15 minutes.

  • Remove from heat and cool to room temperature.

  • Sauce can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
