Blove Sauce Recipe

This Blove Sauce recipe is BURSTING with flavor. It’s the perfect addition to vegetables, tofu or seafood (plus so much more). And it freezes beautifully, making it a great meal prep item for nights when you need a quick meal option.

  • Our Blove Sauce recipe can be made in advance and even frozen. We like to make a double batch and freeze the leftovers! While it is super easy to make, having one in the freezer is always a help on those crazy weeknights.

TIPS AND TRICKS FOR MAKING BLOVE SAUCE

  • Separation Issues? Separation between the onion/garlic element and the butter element of the sauce is normal. Give it a good stir before serving and dipping.
  • LOVE spice? Add up to an extra teaspoon of cayenne pepper if you’d like more heat!
  • Don’t have a food processor? If you don’t have a food processor, simply use a garlic press and chop the onion finely with a knife.
  • Dietary Restrictions? There are a lot of ingredients in this Blove Sauce recipe. Be sure to read each label to make sure that the ingredients fit with your dietary needs. If you are GF be cautious of your spices and Worcestershire sauce. If you are vegan or vegetarian, you will need to get a vegan Worcestershire sauce and possibly adjust the butter to dairy-free.

Blove Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • 2 tsp lemon pepper
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 2 tsp ground ginger
  • 2 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 garlic bulbs
  • ¼ cup onion
  • 1.5 cup butter dairy or vegan works
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • ¾ cup vegetable stock

Instructions

  • Gather your ingredients. Mix all of the spices and seasonings together in a bowl to combine.

  • Separate and peel the garlic cloves. Add them to the bowl of a food processor along with the onion and blitz until broken down finely.

  • Melt the butter in a large high sided frying pan. Add the onion/garlic mixture and cook on a medium heat for 2-3 minutes.

  • Add the vegetable stock and Worcestershire sauce and stir well.

  • Add the seasoning mix and stir again. Bring to low simmer and let it cook for a final 5 minutes.

  • Transfer the sauce back to your food processor and blitz for about a minute to get it as combined as possible (optional).

  • Transfer to your serving bowl or jar of choice.
