WHY THIS SPIRULINA SMOOTHIE RECIPE IS SO GOOD
- This Spirulina Smoothie is a great choice for a quick and easy blended breakfast! It is loaded with nutrients and is also vegan and gluten-free!
- Wondering what spirulina is? It is a blue-green algae that is commonly used as a source of vegan protein. It contains a number of nutrients such as B vitamins, vitamin E, magnesium, potassium, manganese, and also beta-carotene.
- Spirulina has quite a unique taste, which many people aren’t a fan of when consuming. But to counter act that taste, we’ve paired it with some delicious ingredients that help to mask that unique taste so you can still take advantage of all the benefits it has to offer.
TIPS AND TRICKS TO MAKING SPIRULINA SMOOTHIE
- Make sure the bananas are peeled, sliced, and frozen in order to achieve the right texture.
- I love coconut milk, but you can use your favorite milk here. I’ve also made this with Hemp Milk and nut milk.
- We love using a Vitamix to get an even consistency. If you don’t a high-powered blender, let them ingredients sit for a minute or two to soften before blending.
