TIPS AND TRICKS FOR MAKING TURMERIC COFFEE
- You can use any type of milk in this recipe. If you consume dairy, you can use cow's milk. Additionally, almond, flax and macadamia nut milk work great in this recipe.
- You can add in a shot of espresso to make this a Turmeric Coffee. Don't have espresso on hand? You can add 1 teaspoon of instant coffee.
- To help with the absorption of turmeric and other ingredients, add a pinch of black pepper. Alternatively, you can add in some solid coconut oil to the saucepan to help. A pinch shouldn't change the taste any.

Turmeric Coffee
This Turmeric Coffee recipe has all the perks of morning coffee, plus the added health benefits of turmeric. Turmeric is a powerful spice used in ancient traditions because of it's most active compound, curcumin.
Ingredients
- 2 c milk (can be plant based: almond, flax, etc.)
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder (you can add up to 1 more teaspoon)
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2.5 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 shot espresso optional
Instructions
- Add the plant milk, turmeric powder, cinnamon powder, maple syrup and vanilla extract (add espresso if using) in a saucepan and whisk everything.
- Then heat the pan over medium heat until very hot but not boiling. Whisk frequently.
- Turn off heat and taste to adjust flavor.
- Serve immediately, dividing between two glasses.
