Expert Tips for Making Sweet And Spicy Sriracha Sauce

  • As written, this sauce is sweet and spicy. It has a bit of a kick, but is not overpowering. If you do not like spice, you can use ¼ cup of sriracha instead.
  • This sauce is on the thinner side, perfect for dipping and as a topping for sandwiches. If you like it thicker, you can refrigerate it to thicken or you can add ½ cup additional mayo.
  • Substitutions: If you are gluten-free, be sure to use tamari sauce instead of soy sauce. The tamari adds some depth of flavor to the sauce. You can also use coconut aminos or liquid aminos if you prefer. Likewise, if you are vegan, use vegan mayo and use maple syrup instead of honey!
  • If you don’t have lime juice, you can also use lemon juice.
